Many of the philosophical and theological arguments of the past three thousand-years remain unanswered today. At present, as in the past, we as humans are still as far as ever from exhaustive answers to what appears to be simple questions: namely the significance of humans and more specifically our own existence in this world.
Sculpture allows me to explore these ideas about my existence. I am drawn to stone as a material because of its history as it was once part of something larger. Coupled with its unforgiving nature it becomes a challenge to bring to it a new life. This process allows me to make discoveries and ask questions about myself and the universe.

As an artist, inspiration comes to me everyday. Whether I find it in human emotion or out of plain necessity, I always need to create. This is the one thing that has always been inside of me. Many things have come and gone but this is the one constant. Over my life, creativity has been the main drive and focus of the present and for the future.
Drawings are the backbone of everything that I create. Whether it is a painting, a print, a collage, or even a sculpture, a single black and white drawing is the basis of what is to follow. By taking one of my drawings and using the same imagery in different media, I open up a world of opportunity for the drawing to evolve into something entirely different while holding the same meaning. It helps me to express myself even further and deeper than what the drawing could do alone. The exploration and experimentation with different mediums to create my finished expression is the most challenging and most enjoyable part of my work.

Art is a continuous search for unanswered questions. Since the dawn of human existence art has been created to reflect and analyze the world of and around the creator. From the subject to the medium art has been a reflection and analysis of the times. Without any hope of steering away from the inevitable I make art to ask questions about the world around me, the current human-state, and how I relate to it through content and material.

I view art as a language uniquely suited to serve us in ways a verbal language cannot.
My art is a creative act to express my feeIings, using such media of art as Gobelin Tapestry. I am trying to show my world using natural resources such a wool, cotton, and silk; by combining three dimensional forms and transforming them into a decorative or abstract image. I create a two dimensional composition, rich with color and the texture of hand woven textiles.
A work of art should make the viewer think. It should not tell the viewer what to think, but should help that person to start thinking in a new way. By creating tapestry I am showing what I've seen and found interesting and beautiful.
